We’re getting really close: Maggie, the brand-new apocaliptic zombie movie directed by Henry Hobson featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abigail Breslin, will be on-air starting May, 8. Schwarzie doesn’t need an intro, but Breslin isn’t a newcomer nonetheless: she’s more an early bird, considering her remarkable performance in the M. Night Shyamalan‘s 2002 movie Signs and, five years later, with a starring role in Little Miss Sunshine. She’s also a zombie flick veteran, as anyone who watched Ruben Fleisher ‘s Zombieland can easily confirm.
The movie, praised at the Tribeca Film Festival, tells the story of a deadly zombie virus who suddendly strikes the world with devastating effects. Schwarzenegger is Wade, a father of a young girl who gets infected: incapable of accepting the truth he chooses to hide her in his house, but the inevitable growth of the disease will bring havoc in the family leading to extreme consequences.
The movie also features Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck, David Fincher‘s Millenium), Laura Cayouette (Now You See Me, Fast & Furious 7), Dana Michelle Gourrier (The Butler, Django Unchained), Taylor Ashley Murphy (Angry Games, parody of The Hunger Games), Amy Brassette, John L. Armijo and Denise Williamson.
